Marcus is the son of the painter Thomas Nathaniel Davies. Marcus has used his father's abstract paintings as an inspiration and starting point for his own colour work. He is 44 years old and married to Jo with a 16 year old step-daughter called Alice and a 3 and a half year old son called Fabian who has a diagnosis of Autistic Syndrome Disorder. Marcus is represented by The Photographers' Gallery in London and Millennium Images. Marcus is a lecturer in Photography at Plymouth College of Art and collects a wide variety of things in particular John Hinde postcards, 8mm Football Films and Ladybird Books.
